This week I’m very happy to be sharing one of our Toronto interior decorating projects with you!  This is truly an incredible transformation and really shows how you can completely change the look and feel of a space without committing to a major renovation. I hope you enjoy seeing the before and after photos and are inspired by today’s blog post.  Enjoy!

About This Toronto Interior Decorating Project

This couple wanted to turn their small living room into a space that they both loved. They each had two different styles in mind, so we balanced the light, feminine colours and floral accents with masculine elements in the furniture and the touch of black throughout for a hit of contrast and “coolness”.

We were able to lighten up the room significantly and make the best use out of their remarkable windows. The couple wanted to keep the character of the fireplace as it was original to the house, so we simply refaced it with updated tile and a fresh coat of paint.

Our had clients purchased their sofa and two armchairs, but after buying their main pieces, they realized they needed help finishing off the room and having it look pulled together.  So, that’s where we came in!

With the main pieces in place, all we needed to add was a rug, coffee table, window treatments, art, throw pillows and accessories… Easy peasy, because all the finishing touches, or the “fluff and puff” as we call it, is really the part we like the best.

While we were at it, we made a few small suggestions to update the fireplace.  Luckily our client’s husband is handy, so this was a fairly simple weekend project that turned out amazingly great, don’t you think? Oh, and of course we reupholstered this old family chair – It was a sentimental piece that now fits beautifully into the room.

We’re super happy with the way this Toronto interior design project turned out, and what’s even better is that so are our clients – What do you think?
